We all have those mornings when our two year old is screaming, and our 6 year old comes down the stairs ready for school in her favorite summer dress- but it’s 15 degrees outside.
As a working mom, I understand the dynamics and time constraints of raising a family. I know the morning of your portraits may have a little bit of chaos, but we’ll plan in advance to make things as smooth as possible.
The idea of family photos may sound a bit stressful but it doesn’t have to be. I guide my clients through every step
making it joyful and fun.

From the moment you book, we’ll work together. We’ll choose a date, and a location. For newborns, I come to your home. I’ll help you select what to wear for your session, and be there for any questions that come up.

I’m a mama to two adorable boys, and a family photographer. I adore Pittsburgh with our tree lined streets and small town feel, but with all the amazing things of living in a city.
I’m a photographer because I believe in the importance of having images on our walls of all those moments. It’s the small moments that make up a full life. If you choose to work with me as your photographer, I will make sure you have those memories to look back on from newborn cuddles to the messy toddler years, and beyond.
Your interactions as a family are what matter. It’s what creates the beauty of your moments. My lifestyle approach documents these little moments- the brief smile of your 8 year old, or the precious baby in your arms.

After our session, you’ll receive a gallery of your images. Print your photos for your walls, create photo albums, and share your family portraits with your friends. The images are yours to keep, and cherish.
Allison creates an environment that makes you feel like you are hanging with a friend, working her magic while you forget you are even having pictures taken! We have done three sessions with Allison over the last couple of years and each gallery delivered is beyond our expectations.

Allison was amazing! She brought everything we could have possibly needed with her – wraps, bows, props, lighting… She tailored the colors and props to our tastes and did such a great job calming our little newborn so her wrapped pics came out perfect. The family session was also amazing – she just worked within our space and used the window lighting so that everything felt very authentic and natural.
