Extended Family Session - Boyce Mayview Park

This time of year I get several bookings for extended family sessions! It makes sense since everyone is usually home for the holidays and it is the perfect time to update those family pictures.

You might be wondering what an extended family session even means. Well, I am happy to share with you! These sessions are for two or more families within the session. We get individual family shots, kid only shots, full family shots and basically anything time allows for...and kids are willing to participate in. These are at a higher rate than a standard family photo session but for good reason; you get to share all of the images between all of the families!

It is truly an honor when families ask my to capture their family each year and I am always giving myself little goals to make this session even better!

The Gaudelli family is my largest extended family session by far! They are comprised of eight kiddos ranging in age from 3-10 and eight adults. They are like a well oiled machine though when it comes to their family photos and I love it!

My goal this year was to get smiles from one of the youngest members of the family. He is a little more shy and I can completely relate as my kids are the same way. It took a little bit but we got it! Of course I left the session thinking of more groupings or shots I wanted to get but when you are working with that many little ones there is a point where you just won't get anything more from them.
