Family Session - Downtown Pittsburgh

Owning your own photography business is filled with ton's of highs and lows and I have to say that the day I met the mom for this session was a definite high! I was just about to drop my son off at school when she stopped me and asked if I was Allison of Allison Payne Photography. It is definitely not every day that that happens but to be recognized from my website was definitely a thrill! She let me know she was new to the area and wanted to do a family photo session and I was excited to be able to work with her and her family!

It is not every day that we get a beautiful 55 degree day the week after Christmas! It was the absolute perfect day for a family session in Downtown Pittsburgh!!

This family chose the North Shore of Pittsburgh as their backdrop. During the winter months I always like to do a shoot that adds a little bit of architectural detail. Just a personal preference of mine.

Now, there are a million and one reasons for a family session. Maternity, newborn, milestone, yearly family, etc. The adorable and fun thing that prompted this session is that mom realized her baby girl was growing (as they do!) and that she would soon be losing her front teeth. Being that we just had the big milestone of losing a first tooth in my house I could completely relate. Once these milestone happen their face and look changes from baby/little kid to big kid and wow...that is a hard one to wrap your mind around.

Whatever your reason, don't wait to book a session! These tiny moments are big in the grand scheme of things and you don't want to miss them!

Here is a little sneak peak from their session downtown. Enjoy!
