Peter's Lake Maternity Session

To say that Rachel is excited to meet her little girl is an understatement! She has already reached out about the outfits for the newborn session...and that was even before the maternity session! Just with those few email interactions I knew that we would have fun during their maternity shoot!

Rachel and Dan chose Peter's Lake for their session and it is one of my favorite places since you get a little bit of everything as your backdrop; the lake, a forest, bridges and so much more! This particular summer day was absolutely perfect...well almost. I would have loved a few more fluffy clouds to work with but that's just me being extra picky! But for a late June day, we could not have asked for better weather; a beautifully sunny day and not too hot.

Because it was such a beautiful day, there were so many people at the lake fishing. Way more than I have ever seen at the lake so some of my usual spots were taken but we made the best of it! It is always amazing to have a client tell you at the end of the shoot that they trust everything you just did and I was so thrilled with the gallery I was able to send to Rachel and Dan! I little preview is below.

If you are on the fence of deciding on a maternity session, just know that they are such a great way for you, as an expectant parent to get to know me and hopefully make you feel even more comfortable and confident inviting me into your home to capture those newborn photos. You will find that I am not too serious, I talk about my kids quite a bit and even share some things that helped me as a new parent. I love getting to know you as well and I can't wait to help tell your story!
