Phipps Spring Mini Session - I. Family

I love a good Spring mini session! They are the perfect amount of time to capture some great memories...especially if you are working with a little one that has a short attention span. Mini sessions generally last 15-20 minutes and that is more than enough time to get family shots as well as individual shots of your children. We don't focus as much on the detail shots but I try and sneak some in there when I can!

Before any of my family sessions take place they are sent a session prep guide. This helps them understand the process of the session and helps them with inspiration for their outfit choices. I was thrilled that mama took this to heart and even reached out to share pictures of potential choices. Most people don't realize that I am happy to help with those last minute decisions!

When their spring mini session day arrived at Phipps, this family was more than ready and looked great too! They used their mini session as a quick first birthday session for their son and did he deliver! So much personality packed into this little guy and what a joy to photograph. We even snuck a quick little cake smash at the end.
