Winter Outdoor Maternity Session!

I know what you are thinking...Pittsburgh is too gloomy and cold in the winter to do an outdoor session! While both of those things are true, I am here to show you that you can have absolutely gorgeous maternity photos even in the dead of winter!

My expectant mama, Brittany and I headed to Hartwood Acres Mansion for her maternity session last week. I chose this location for her shoot so the mansion could add some architectural detail as a backdrop rather than grey skies and tree's with no leaves. The stone mansion coupled with her elegant black dress was the perfect combo!

This is Brittany' third and final baby so she brought her two children along for a picture with their mama all dressed up. I love the picture below with both of her kids. It shows what being a mother is all about; multi-tasking ! Eight months pregnant, all dressed up, holding one child and bending down for the other to kiss her belly. We manage a lot as mothers and I am thrilled that I was able to capture this beautiful time in her life!
