Fall Minis at the Farm

I spent last Saturday at Gilfillan Farms, a hidden gem in the South Hills of Pittsburgh. This is a historical site (and sometimes working farm) that is part of the Historical Society of Upper St. Clair. You can read more about it here. When selecting a location for Fall Minis the farm was a no brainer as it allowed a huge variety of backdrops for the families. I photographed five families in total last Saturday and each one brought such a different energy to the day! For the families with small kids it is all about just running with them and seeing which way they turn. As for the older ones, they like to give input on poses and in one particular case one young man wanted to teach me all about snakes! No matter the age the ultimate goal is to get the very best posed picture possible but the in-between shots are where the fun is. In this post I want to give you a feel for both the formal and the silly!

Enjoy the sneak peak from my adventures on the Farm!!

Themed Minis will take place between 4-5 times a year during different seasons. Follow me on Facebook or Instagram to keep up to date on when these sessions will take place. For all those already thinking about Holiday cards (I know I am!) the Holiday Minis will be taking place on November 21st. Send me a message here if you are interested in learning more!
